I recently printed the first physical prototype of our new Katana Ken mini-figure in Resione CL-TH Mystic Purple, and I am absolutely blown away by the results.
On the aesthetic side, the Mystic Purple color is beautiful. It captures the micro-detailing of the heavy shinobi armor and mask perfectly, holding sharp lines without losing any definition during the cure. It gives the toy a premium, high-quality collector look straight off the build plate.
But the real triumph is the toughness of this material. Because of the incredible tensile strength, I was able to print using extremely light supports. They peeled off effortlessly without leaving deep scars, meaning I had almost zero heavy post-processing to do before curing.
We put this print through our signature five-foot factory floor drop test, dropping the solid figure directly onto a hard floor. It hit with a heavy, solid plastic clack, bounced a few times, and came to a dead stop. Upon close inspection, there was absolute zero damage. Not a single chip, crack, or scratch, even on the delicate back-fused katana blade.
For toy designers, print farms, and merchants who need a reliable, high-impact resin that can handle real-world handling and shipping, CL-TH is the absolute gold standard. It print-packs beautifully, cleans up fast, and produces virtually indestructible results. I will definitely be using this for our upcoming Wave 09 production runs!
The colors are so saturated. A bit slower to print with but totally worth it if you’re looking for a solid color in a break resistant brand of resin.
Resione always has really high quality and this was no exception. It was cold for California and very viscus but preformed well. Very vibrant and great for Valentine's day.
